You know those moments in life, whether good or bad, that are so defining they mark a new chapter in your life? One year ago I began a new chapter. My defining moment was January 30, 2019, the day I was diagnosed with Ocular Melanoma. I call it a chapter because the moment itself doesn’t define me, but it is an important part of my life story.
Since today is World Cancer Day and February 29 is Rare Disease Day, I want to share my story. I switched things up and created a video blog. I captured a full year in this 30-minute story and I hope it inspires you to explore Ocular Melanoma a little further and encourages you to get their eyes dilated each year.
